Arnaldo M. Costa, 85, of Fall River, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River, surrounded by his family.

    He was the widower of the late Liduina Conceicao (Mare) Costa.

    Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Costa and Maria Catarina (Rocha) Eleuterio.

    Prior to retiring, Arnaldo worked for most of his career in the construction industry. Later, he spent several years working as a bartender at Fall River Sports Club. 

    Arnaldo’s biggest passion in life was soccer. He was an avid fan of Sporting CP and, in his younger years, loved playing soccer. He was parishioner of Santo Christo Church and a member of the Fall River Sports Club and the Santo Christo Club. 

    Arnaldo is survived by his children M. Grace Caetano (husband Roy), Natalie Amaral (husband Clement), and Arnold Costa, all of Fall River; his brother Jose Costa; his grandchildren Felicia, Erica, Alexa, Alexander, and Ethan; his great grandchildren: Ava, Mila, Apollo, Ace, and Lydia; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Alda Teles and Dorvalino Eleuterio.

    A visitation will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 8:00 – 9:30 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
