Arnetta Marie Niemuth, 85, of Moweaqua, died January 22, 2023 in Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center. Arnetta was born on November 23, 1937 in Lyons, KS, the daughter of Edward and Daphne (Martinie) Willms.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with a private graveside service. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Moweaqua or Moweaqua Public Library.
Arnetta was a member of the First Christian Church of Moweaqua. She was a sports fan and cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, The Fighting Illini, Kansas City Chiefs and Central A&M Raiders. She worked many jobs including Kentucky Lithograph Company, Windel's, Hog Trough, Moweaqua Peace Meals, Eastern Star Home, and was a caregiver in many homes.
Surviving are her sons: Terry (Sophie) Niemuth of Houston, TX and Michael Niemuth of Alton, IL; daughter: Sharon (Greg) Powel of Moweaqua, IL; grandchildren: Jessica Willcut, Kemper Willcut II, Heather (George) Strissel, Trisha (Michael) Blaisure, Brittany (Scott) Heidemann, Anthony Niemuth, Trenton Murray, Lacee Murray, and Larissa Murray; Nana Netta to 8 great-grandchildren, brother: Arnold (Jackie) Willms of Park Rapids, MN; 2 nephews: Kyle and Eric; special aunt: Sue Martinie; and special family friend Dean Bright.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son: Gary Niemuth, and grandson: David Niemuth.
The family of Arnetta would like to thank the Moweaqua community for all the love it has shown her and her family since 1967. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Transitions Hospice and Moweaqua Nursing Home. You cared and helped her in her last days and months.
