In Loving Memory of Arnold Acuna

Arnold Acuna, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 6, 1936, in
Corpus Christi, Texas, to Faustino and Guadalupe Acuna, Arnold was raised in the same city. He developed a deep love for his community, his family, and the outdoors.
Arnold served proudly in the United States Air Force from January 18, 1955, to January 17, 1959. After his service, he went on to work for NAS Corpus Christi CNATRA, where he spent many years contributing to the success of the naval community. He married his true love, Imelda, on November 26, 1960, and together, they built a life full of love, adventure, and family.
An avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, Arnold found peace and joy in the simplicity of nature. His heart was always with his family, who were his greatest pride and joy. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and a dedicated member of the Jazz Festival, where his passion for music resonated with all who knew him.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino and Guadalupe Acuna; his brother, Faustino Acuna; his sisters, Pat Garza and Alice Molina; his brothers-in-law, Eddie Molina, Hector Salinas Jr., and Sam Garza; and his sister-in-law, Dahlia Garza.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Imelda Acuna; his three children, Cindy (Ernest) Cortinas, Liza (John) Contreras, and Arnold (Dina) Acuna; his seven grandchildren: Ernest (Allison) Cortinas, Amanda (Anton) Kindzirsky, Jonathan (Leslie) Cortinas, Kassandra (Arthur) Barrera, Angela (Robert) Munguia, Ashley (James) Acuna, and AJ (Amanda) Acuna; and twelve great-grandchildren: Addison, Eric, Olivia, Luka, Landry, Juliette, Eleanor, Arthur III, Daniel, Shiley, Arden, and Tenzin.
The following individuals have the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers: Ernest Cortinas, Jonathan Cortinas, Anton Kindzirsky, Arthur Barrera II, Arnold Ray Acuna Jr., Roland Garza, and Ricky Garza.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aadi Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Arnold's final days. A special recognition goes to Kristy Salinas and Nurse Annalisa for their kindness, dedication, and comfort. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital and his favorite nurse, Barbara, for their exceptional care and compassion.
A public visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 P.M. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 P.M. that same day. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
Arnold's legacy of love, service, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
