East Millinocket, Maine-Arnold E. McCormack, 72, died peacefully on October 9. He was born on January 18, 1953, to Earl and Evelyn (White) McCormack in Glens Falls, NY, but lived most of his life in East Millinocket. He graduated from Schenck High School in 1972 and then attended EMVTI where he earned an associate degree in Machine Tooling. This degree was put to good use at Great Northern Paper Company where he spent the rest of his working years.
Arnold, also known as "Ziffle", was known for his generosity, loved anything to do with hunting or fishing and knew the woods and waters of Maine well. He dearly loved his friends, his family, his pets, and spending time at his camp.
Arnold is predeceased by his parents, a nephew and a great nephew. He is survived by his two sisters, Debra and Lorrie and their spouses, his beloved nieces; Allison, Meagan and Erin and their spouses, as well as great nieces and a nephew, extended family and dear friends.
The family invites you to a brief graveside service at East Millinocket Cemetery on November 8 at 12 noon, followed by a celebration of Arnold's life at East Branch Sno-Rovers Club. In lieu of flowers, any donations made to honor Arnold's memory can be sent to either the Humane Society, https://www.bangorhumane.org/ or Wounded Warrior Project, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, both causes which Arnold supported.
