Arthur Riblet Obituary

Arthur "Art" Riblet
Born: April 9, 1954 in Streator, IL
Died: August 16, 2025 in Streator, IL
Arthur "Art" L. Riblet, 71, of Streator passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the OSF Center for Health, Streator, surrounded by the love of his family.
A Celebration of Art's Life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator. A time to share memories will start at 6:00 PM. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date in Long Point Cemetery.
Art was born April 9, 1954 in Streator, a son of Glen and Elsie (Winterrowd) Riblet. He married Elizabeth Hamilton on January 12, 1974 in Streator.
Art had worked diligently for 46 years at Sabic, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and dedication. He had at one time been the captain of the fire brigade at Sabic.
Outside of work, Art found joy in the outdoors. He cherished his time in Wisconsin fishing, and he could often be found on the golf course, playfully giving his friends a hard time and losing dimes to Bobby Sproule. A proud member of Sandy Ford, Art enjoyed teaching his friends and family how to shoot, always eager to share his skills and time with those he loved. Art was a past president of the Hilltop Mixed League at Bowl Mor.
Art's greatest Joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Beth; his three children, Cyndi (Rob) Dellinger, Kevin Riblet, and John (Tara Bronge) Riblet, all of Streator; seven grandchildren, Drew (Meg Drysdale) Dellinger, Brant (Kaitlyn Sopko) Dellinger, Ema (Endry Rey) Dellinger, Brynlee Riblet, Kendel Riblet, Zander Riblet, and Cooper Riblet; and two great grandchildren, Wrenli and Leilani. Also surviving is a half-brother, Jack Riblet of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-brother, Larry Riblet; and a granddaughter, Colbie J. Riblet.
Art will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and loyal friend. His humor, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
