Arthur H. "Buddy" Anderson, 85, of Auburn, longtime resident of Tuftonboro, NH, and most recently of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Frances (Sestito) Anderson; his daughter, Angela M. Anderson Connolly and her husband Peter, of Nashua; his sons-in-law, Donald Richards and Scott Thurston; his grandchildren, Kristin, Nicholas, and Michael Thurston, Keri and Amanda Richards, and Brenna and Martha Connolly; his sister, Margaret O'Connor, of Worcester; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews and their families. Arthur was predeceased by his daughters, Doreen Richards and Barbara J. Thurston; his brothers, Franklin, Roy P., and Robert Anderson, his sister Dorothy Luukko; and their parents, Waldemar and Dora (Castle) Anderson.
Arthur was born in Worcester, and was raised and educated in Auburn, as a graduate of Auburn High School. He worked for the former Lawless Cadillac for many years, before beginning his extensive career at AAA, where he worked as an Auto Repair Specialist and from which he later retired.
In his free time, Buddy enjoyed traveling the country in his RV with Frances before settling in at a campground in Lakeland, Florida for many years. He loved playing cards with his friends, being a prankster, and having lunch at Coney Island Hot Dogs. During his time at the Lakeland RV Park in Florida, Buddy organized shuffleboard tournaments, played cards nightly with his friends, and was a valued usher during weekly church services. He most enjoyed being part of his grandchildren's lives, attending sporting games, graduations, performances and other important events. Above all, his family and friends meant the world to him.
