Mark R. Sullivan, 66, of Dudley died Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center -University Campus after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born July 5, 1959 in
Plymouth, MA. He lived in Dedham, Auburn and finally settling in Dudley.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda (Orleans) Sullivan , two daughters: Colleen Sullivan of Dudley, and Megan Burke (Shane) of Sutton, MA, and a son: Matthew Sullivan (Erica) of Dudley, and will be welcomed into heaven by his stillborn son Brian. He was a proud granddad to his three granddaughters; Lillyana, Juliet and Claire. He is predeceased by his parent James F. and Grace A. (Gomez) Sullivan formerly from Dedham. Mark leaves one sister Judy (Peter) Jorgenson of Auburn, WA; He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Mark graduated from Dedham High School. He received his BS in Biology from Boston College and was very proud of his Eagles. Mark was also proud of his CMR (Certified Medical Representative) certificates, which he received in many areas of the disease states.
He was employed as a Key Account Pharmaceutical Manager calling on large teaching institutions throughout NE with Ferring Pharmaceuticals. In addition, he worked for CMP Pharma, Medicem, PDI, Berlex/Bayer for over 43 years. Mark enjoyed his relationships with both the KAM's, Representatives, Managers that he worked with as well as the all the physicians and considered everyone his friends. Mark did not want to retire as he was still having "fun" working!
Mark was very proud of his world traveling statistics visiting over 49 states, 65 countries, 43 national parks, 5 continents and 7 of the Canadian Territories. He just returned from the Maldives where he showed his granddaughter Lillyana how easy it is to travel the world and see how beautiful and unique other places are. He considered traveling a form of education and was always planning the next trip!!
Mark considered his Roman Catholic upbringing to be a very important part of his life. Mark was an inaugural adorer at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Perpetual Adoration Chapel since opening in 1996 and has adored 1,199 hours!! Mark was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Charlton, where he recently did a Pilgrimage to Rome, Assisi, Croatia, and Medugorje with Rev. Robert Grattaroti who he considered one of his spiritual mentors.
Mark was a member of the Dudley Boy Scouts Troop 273 since his son joined the troop in 1996. He served as committee member, committee chairman, merit badge councilor and troop historian. Mark was always found with a camera around his neck documenting all the events of the troop. He attended multiple camping trips including the "Wurst Meal Ever" Campout in Bar Harbor Maine!! He enjoyed working in the kitchen with the scouts, and opening their eyes to different foods.
Mark also was a USA Hockey referee for over 48 years! He has refereed over 5,500 games.

Mark was always found in his Tommy Bahama's shirts no matter what the weather was and has requested that anyone who attends to please dress in brightly colored clothing similar to Tommy Bahama's, not black! He wanted everyone to know that he wants his funeral to be a happy occasion not a sad one. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 25 at St. Josephs Church, 10 H Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton, MA with Rev. Robert Grattaroti officiating. Burial will follow in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery 670 Baker St. West Roxbury.
