Funeral services for Arthur Laverne "Vern" Boyer, 81, of Williston, SC will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Doug Blaikie officiating. Burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery with Masonic Rites Accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Honored to serve as pallbearers Keith Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Chris Boyer, Dennis Kinard, Eddie Thomas, Justin Thomas and Marty Thomas.

Born in the Sawyerdale Community of Orangeburg County, SC he was a son of the late Arthur Junior "A.J." Boyer and Mary Jane Chavis Boyer and was married to Lynn Thomas Boyer for the last 60 years. Vern started his working career selling Insurance then later went to work for the Savannah River Site as a Radiological Control Inspector in the Health Protection Department until his retirement. He loved spending time with his wife at their home in Beaufort and always enjoyed shrimping and fishing with his friends. He was a member of the Williston Presbyterian Church and longtime member of the Williston Masonic Hope Lodge #126.

Survivors include his loving wife Lynn Boyer; a daughter, Connie (Patrick) Craig of Elko; his granddaughter, Victoria (Zac) Drafts and their children Aiden, Adalynn and Anneliese; a sister, Mary Alice (David) Barnett of Williston, a Brother, Fred Allen (Sharon) Boyer; sisters-in-law, Victoria (Ken) Becker and Rosemary Jones; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Kathy) Thomas and Frankie Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews his special friends, Dennis (Linda) Kinard, Keith (Louise) Anderson and Kevin (DeDe) Anderson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Leon "Blue" Boyer.
