**Obituary for Arthur Eugene Forrest**
Arthur Eugene "Art" Forrest, a beloved husband, father, and Papa, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by his family at Shippenville Health Care. Born on October 10, 1943, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
Art proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. Following his military service, he dedicated his life to farming and business. A lifelong farmer and a visionary entrepreneur, he founded several successful ventures, including Meadowbrook Farms, Forrest Trucking and Bus Company, and was a co-founder of C&A Trees in Clarion.
He was an active member of Grace Community Church in Curllsville, where his faith and community involvement were central to his life. Art also served as past president and board member of the Clarion Hospital, and was a respected advisory board member of the Northwest Bank and the Clarion County Conservation Board.
Art was preceded in death by his loving parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Nancy Forrest, and sister-in-law Robin Forrest. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Maxine Lucille Curry, whom he married on October 26, 1963. Together, they enjoyed traveling and participating in the National Antique Tractors Pullers Association.
Art is survived by his children: Dickey Forrest of New Bethlehem; Debbie and her husband Steve Buzard of Mars; Teresa and her husband Mike Lapinto of Clarion; and Randy and his wife Susan Forrest of Seneca. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Maria and Dan Smathers, Heather and Marc Rattigan, Landon and Lauren Forrest, Mitchell and Joanne Buzard, Brianna and Nathan Sablowski, Cameron Lapinto, Brandon, and Preston Forrest. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jacob and Nicholas Smathers, Hannah, Halle and Harlie, Rattigan, Brooks and Micah Buzard.
He is also survived by his brothers: James Forrest, Terry Forrest, and Robert and his wife Patti Forrest; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Irvin and Ada Curry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory in Clarion on Tuesday, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A visitation will also be held at Grace Community Church in Curllsville on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM to honor and celebrate Art's life.
Art was a loving husband, father, and "Papa" whose memory will be deeply cherished by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the hands that have touched their beloved husband and Dad over the last several years. Art's presence will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by those whose lives he enriched.
Memorials may be made to the Forest/Clarion VNA, Clarion YMCA, Grace Community Church in Curellsville or a charity of ones choice.
