He was born in
Edgefield, SC, April 14, 1948, son of the late Robert Milton Gordon, Sr. and the late Omelia Covington Gordon. He joined Pleasant Lane Baptist Church where he maintained his membership until his demise. He was educated in the public schools of Edgefield County, South Carolina. Arthur (AP) working life began in the Logging Industry and later he began working a the Durst Plant - Greenwood Mills and he was employed at Milliken's Saluda/Johnston until he became disable. He was married to Viola Swearinger Gordon and the father of five children.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Carl D. Gordon and Diane Gordon
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy; his wife, Viola S. Gordon of

Williams of North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Tanayja Williamsm, Brittany walker, Ariel Williams, Quentin Gordon, Shemicka Gordon blacks; great grandchildren, Jarryd Coleman, Jr., Jayceon Rollinson, Antonio Larell, Zane Wadlington, Lyric Wadlington, Kamauri Cromer and Amaya Gordon; bonus children, Walter Cannon, Jr. and Tyrone Cannon of
