Robert Smith Obituary
He was born in Saluda, SC, May 25, 1939, son of the late Eugene and Orabell Coleman Smith. He was of Baptist Faith. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina. He worked at the Saluda Locker Plant for over 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Willie Pearl Pugh; sons, Robert Lester Smith and Willie James (Donna) Smith, Willie Nicholson, Jessie Gene Nicholson, Bennie (Sheryl) Jones; daughters, Shirley Smith, Debbie Jean Smith King, Sarah Lacy, Sandra Loraine Jenkins, Joyce Smith Crowder, Jessie Mae Nicholson and Roszena Nicholson; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grands; step-children, Sheila Bonaventure, Charlotte (Anthony) Abney and Samillia Smith; three brothers-in-law, three sister-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
In addition to his parent, he was also preceded in death by sons, Willie B. Smith, James Jones, Benjamin Nicholson and Stevie Jones; siblings, Curtis Smith, Charlie Smith, Frank Smith, J. W. Smith, Willie B. Smith, Shirley Smith, Barbara J. Smith and James Coleman Smith.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his daughter, Shirley Smith, 304 Willow Loop, Saluda, SC.
