Arthur John Jacquez

Arthur John Jacquez, 44, of Las Cruces, earned his heavenly wings on December 1, 2025. Art was born in Las Cruces, NM, on September 16, 1981. He was the beloved son to Arturo Jacquez Jr.† and Jenny Jacquez. He graduated from Oñate High School in 1999 and went on to become a dedicated and hardworking man. Arthur built his own landscaping business and provided maintenance services to many local businesses. He took great pride in his work and devoted himself to providing for his family.
Art was known for his incredibly caring and generous heart. He was the kind of person who would drop anything to help a family member or friend in need, never thinking twice, and never asking for anything in return. He always put the needs of others before his own and did so with genuine love. Whether offering a helping hand, or simply his presence, he showed up for the people he cared about, time and time again. Art was also full of laughter and warmth; he loved joking around, sharing stories, and bringing joy to any gathering. He truly knew how to have a good time and made sure everyone around him was good.
Art loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed grilling, listening to music, and watching sports, always cheering loudly for his Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also found joy in building things for his children and grandchildren, creating memories and moments they will forever cherish.
Art is preceded in death by his father, Arturo Jacquez Jr.; his brother, Christopher Rey Jacquez; his maternal grandparents, Meliton and Amelia Amezola; and his paternal grandparents, Arturo and Virginia Jacquez.
He is survived by his children, Regina Jacquez (Jorge Tarelo), Selena Jacquez, Zayden Jacquez, and Arianna Jacquez; his step son, Daniel Garcia (Nathaly Gutierrez) his sister, Gina Reyes (Roy Reyes); his mother, Jenny Jacquez; and his grandchildren, Santiago and Amelia Tarelo. He is also survived by his nephews Dominick Doñez (Autumn Doñez), Jonathan Doñez (Felicity Guzman), Christopher Jacquez, Angel Reyes, and niece Veronica Reyes as well as great nieces and nephews, who all loved him dearly.
