Arthur William Javery

JAVERY, Art. October 10, 2022. Age 83. Beloved husband of Dixie for 47 years. Loving father of Suellen Wurfel (Alvin), Karen Relph (Roger), and Joshua Javery (Carolin). Proud and loving grandfather of Janey (Jesse), Peter (Marissa), Hannah, and Estera. Dear brother of Richard Javery and brother-in-law of Sharon Javery. Art graduated with a degree in physical education from Wayne State University where he played on the football team. He enjoyed sports and hunting and was a state champion archer in his younger years. He served his country in the United States Navy and went on to teach physical education in Detroit, Royal Oak, and Bloomfield Hills. Art was a member at Stoney Creek Church in Utica and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. His genuine love for the Bible was evident and he especially enjoyed teaching children about sports and the Word of God. Visitation Friday 3-9pm and Saturday 9am until time of 11:30am funeral service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights.
