Arthur S. Lawson, Jr., 77, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on December 20, 2024. Born on February 11, 1947, in Montana Mines, W.Va., Arthur was the son of the late Addie and Arthur S. Lawson, Sr.
Arthur was a graduate of Mapletown High School. He worked alongside his father and brothers in construction before enlisting in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. After his military service, he continued his career as a union concrete finisher, utilizing his skills across various states. Outside of his professional pursuits, Arthur cherished family gatherings and enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are his sister, Sue Eisiminger of Frankfort, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Charles Eisiminger of Monongahela, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Lawson; sisters, Jane Garrison and Gale Eisiminger; brothers, Jim Lawson and Everett Lawson, and brother-in-law, Harold Eisiminger.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on May 24, 2025, at Evergreen Memorial Park, located at 7050 Morgantown Rd, Point Marion, PA 15474.
