Arthur Leonard Martin

Arthur Leonard Martin, 70, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on November 16, 2025.
Arthur was born on March 30, 1955, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, to Pauline (Fiscus) Martin and Arthur L. Martin. He later made his home in Washington, Indiana, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and friendship.
In 1978, Arthur married the love of his life, Karla (Floyd) Martin. Their marriage was one of deep love and devotion, and her passing in 2008 was a profound loss that he carried with him always.
Arthur was the proud owner and operator of Art Martin and Sons Tree Trimming Service in Washington, Indiana, a business he ran for 40 years. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to his customers and community.
Outside of work, Arthur enjoyed spending time with friends and participating in shooting matches--activities that brought him joy and camaraderie.
Arthur is survived by his children, Sasha Martin and Dustin Martin, both of Washington, Indiana; his beloved grandson, Andyn Martin; and his siblings, Linda Wertz, Jerry Reinhart, and Susan Beline and best friend Jeff Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline (Fiscus) Martin and Arthur Martin; his wife, Karla Martin; his brother, Jack Martin; and his sisters, Betty Donavan, Sandy Isom, and Shirley Rogers.
Arthur will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family, valued his friendships, and took pride in an honest day's work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him as the character he was.
