John Martin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Mar. 11, 2026.
John William Martin, known affectionately to all as Jack, was called to his eternal home on March 7, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Bradenton, Florida, encircled by the love of his devoted family. Born on August 12, 1947, in Auburn, New York, Jack's journey through life was marked by an unwavering faith, a boundless capacity for love, and an infectious sense of humor that brightened the lives of all who knew him.

Jack's earthly pilgrimage was a testament to the virtues of hard work and dedication. A retired sheet metal worker, which once masterfully shaped and forged metal, was equally adept at cradling his precious grandchildren, the true joys of his life.

A firm believer in Christ's teachings, Jack lived a life that reflected the love and kindness at the heart of his faith. His Christian values were the compass that guided him, and he walked the path of life with grace and humility.

Jack's legacy is cherished and carried on by his loving wife, MaryAlice, his daughters, Tami and Kandi, and his adored grandchildren, Corey, Taylor, Kaylee, and Carson. The twinkle in his eye will live on in his great-granddaughter, Hazel, who had the privilege of knowing her great-grandfather's gentle spirit.

In his leisure, Jack found immense joy in the laughter and company of his grandchildren. He believed that time spent with family was the most precious gift and made countless cherished memories during family gatherings, vacations, and simple everyday moments.

Those who knew Jack would describe him as loving, kind, and funny-a man whose presence was a source of comfort and joy. His humor was a light that never dimmed, and his laughter was a melody that echoed in the hearts of his loved ones. In the words of the great poet Robert Frost, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." Jack lived by this simple yet profound truth, facing each day with courage and optimism, and leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide his family for generations to come.

As we bid farewell to Jack, we are comforted by the knowledge that his journey is not ended but transformed. He has simply stepped into the glorious light of God's presence, where he will watch over us until we are joyfully reunited. Until then, we hold him in our hearts and remember the man who taught us the beauty of a life well-lived.
