Jesse "Ted" Hilton

Jesse (Ted) Hilton, born October 3, 1941, in Wyandotte, Michigan went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 5, 2026. Though born in Michigan, he always claimed Florida as his home. After retiring from 21 ½ years of active duty with the USAF, he worked as a civil engineer technician for many years in Manatee County. He was stationed at various bases throughout the USA and overseas during his time in the Air Force, including 1½ tours in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War campaign. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grand-father, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Mary Martha Hilton (Robinette), his children, son Stephen Hilton and wife Sandra Hilton (Walter), his daughter Melody Helm (Hilton) and husband Joel Helm, and his three grandchildren Ethan Helm and wife Erin Helm (Walkey), Jesse McKinney (Helm) and husband Jacob McKinney, and Hannah Mays (Helm) and husband Shad Mays, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Hilton, mother, Mable Hilton, (Tennessee) and sister, Rebecca Kabat, (Michigan). He was an active member of Bayside Community Church, West Campus. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery.
