Eang Ung Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Mar. 9, 2026.
Eang Kong Ung, 73, of Bradenton, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on August 2, 1952, in Phnom Penh. Later in life, he immigrated to the United States, a journey that reflected his strength, determination, and deep love for his family. He was incredibly proud of the life he built in his new home, working tirelessly to provide opportunities and a better future for his wife and daughters.

Eang began his career as a chef and later became a supervisor at ETCO. His strong work ethic and dedication were evident to everyone who worked alongside him, but his greatest pride was always his family.

Those who knew Eang will forever remember his witty humor, his contagious laugh, and the kindness that came so naturally to him. He had a heart of gold and a way of making people feel welcome wherever he went. One of the phrases he was known for asking everyone, often with a smile, was, "What's good to eat?"-a small but memorable reflection of his love for food, conversation, and sharing moments with others.

Above all else, Eang was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kuoy; his daughters, Kimberly and Linda, his cherished grandsons, Luca and Enzo; and his wonderful brothers and sisters. His love for them was immeasurable, and the memories he created with his family will be treasured forever.

Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, warmth, and devotion that will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to his daughter, Kimberly.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
