It was a privilege to have met Mr. Nesbitt and my lab and I are incredibly grateful for the support the Nesbitt family has provided for vision research and the development of treatments for currently incurable blinding conditions. His support and that of the entire Nesbitt family has been instrumental in many research advances and for that, I am and always will be grateful.

I´m so sorry to hear of Arthur Nesbitt´s passing. Arthur was a special man. He and my deceased husband William Hileman enjoyed a lifelong friendship that started as agricultural students at Penn State University as fraternity brothers. I met Arthur when I married Bill. Their friendship continued until December 2023 when Bill passed away. But Arthur continued to stay in touch with me. He was a wonderful friend.
With deepest sympathy,
Joyce Hileman, Tavares, FL.
