Arthur Leonard Reenstra II, with a heart full of adventure and an infectious zest for life, passed away at the age of 59 on October 22, 2025, in
Greensboro, North Carolina.
Born in West Lafayette, Indiana, on March 17, 1966, Arthur was a beacon of charisma and determination. He grew up in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He attended high school in New Hope, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from New Hope Solebury High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business from East Stroudsburg University in 1990, where he was also a proud member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
Arthur's career took root in the real estate industry, where he thrived as a residential real estate agent. His passion and dedication were evident during his 18-year tenure with Coldwell Banker. Beyond his role as a real estate agent, he was the proud proprietor of "A Shade Different" in Summerfield, sharing his entrepreneurial spirit and creativity with the community.
For 31 years, Arthur called Summerfield home. He was a master of DIY projects, from designing outdoor entertainment areas to indulging his wife, Kathleen, in countless home updates. His love for fireworks brought vibrant joy to Fourth of July and New Year's celebrations, creating cherished memories for all who attended.
As a father, Arthur's love was boundless. He was a dedicated coach for his children's sports programs, always their biggest cheerleader, even if it meant occasionally cheering from the parking lot. His family-his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathleen Walsh Reenstra, and their children, Gabrielle, El, and Leo, along with the family's grand dog, "Mars Bars"-were at the center of his universe.
Arthur's laughter and adventurous spirit were matched only by his generosity. He never met a stranger and was always the first to lend a helping hand. With a signature entry of "hair on fire," he lit up every room he walked into with warmth and humor. A staunch Dallas Cowboys fan, Arthur's playful rivalry with his Eagles-loving wife added yet another layer of joy and camaraderie to his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Reenstra; children, Gabrielle, El and Leo; his loving mother, Ruth Reenstra; brother, David Reenstra (Maggie); sister, Wende Buras (Jon); mother-in-law, Patricia Jones; sisters-in-law, Claire Jones (Bill) and Donna Minch (Tom); and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews He is also survived by his very special friends, his "Times in the Pines Crew".
