Debra Smith Fenton, 70, of Browns Summit, N.C., went home to be with her Lord on October 14th, 2025. She was surrounded by her beloved family.

Debra was born March 17th, 1955 in Greensboro, N.C. to Lloyd and Juanita Smith. Debra was married to John Fenton on July 17th, 2013. They spent 12 wonderful years together along with their fur babies that Debra loved so much.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Smith, her son, Kerry McArthur and her brother, Doug Smith.

Debra is survived by her husband, John Fenton(John boy), her son, Kris McArthur(Angela). Grandchildren, Kristina Tingler, Caleb M. McArthur, Caleb D. McArthur, Arella McArthur, Joseph McArthur, Paige McArthur and Anna Grace McArthur. Great Grandchildren, Ashton McArthur, Ember McArthur and Jaxson Littlefield. Mother, Juanita Smith, Brother, Benny Smith(Deborah), sister, Teri Moss(Moose) and brother, Joel Smith(Cherie).

Debra loved working in her yard taking care of her plants and flowers. Debra loved her puppies as her babies. She enjoyed teaching her puppies to sing and Praise the Lord. Precious, Casper and Munchkin will miss their Mommy tremendously.

More than anything, Debra loved singing and glorifying the Lord. As a member of Bethel Baptist Church, she played the organ and sang songs with many different sisters and brothers in Christ. Her voice was beautiful and mighty. Many were surprised at the volume coming from such a quiet and humble lady. Her testimony has been touching to many and helped others trust in Jesus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 2230 Lee's Chapel Rd, Greensboro, N.C. on October 25th, 2025 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am
