Arthur Rice

Arthur Lamont Rice (also known as Mida and Art La Rice), 53 of Vauxhall, NJ passed away on December 20, 2025, at JFK Hospital. Born in Summit, NJ on April 20, 1972, Arthur graduated from Union High School in 1990. He worked at Shering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company for many years and held various jobs. Arthur was a visionary, author, poet, designer, innovator, motivator and a certified genius. He was family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
Arthur was preceded in death by his grandparents: Cleotis and Josephine Rice. He is survived by his mother, Vicky Rice-Colon, his children, Samir, Mayanah and Montana, two aunts, Angela Rice (Woodbridge, NJ), Rosalind Mims (Summit, NJ), Diane Rice (Orange Park, FL), one uncle Glenn Rice (Orange Park, FL), three great aunts, Gloria Arp (Harrisburg, PA), Doris Bryant (Harrisburg, PA), Betty Bryant (Pottsville, PA), two great uncles, Edward Arp (Harrisburg, PA), Lewis Jones (Perkasie, NJ) as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Arthur will be remembered for his creativity, unique fashion sense, and his love for family. His wit, charm, and humor were gifts to everyone who knew him.
