Publish in a newspaper

Arthur G. "Art" Schneider of rural Auburndale passed peacefully the morning of Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at the House of the Dove Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt, with Art's nephews: Father Al Burkhardt and Deacon Ervin Burkhardt officiating. Music for the Mass will be provided by David Nielsen and the St. Michael's Funeral Choir. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time Friday at the church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Art was born August 18, 1930 in the Town of Auburndale to Edward and Mary (Ertl) Schneider in the home in which he spent his entire life. As a young man Art hauled milk, utilizing milk cans to haul. He was a very strong, kind man. The nieces & nephews remember fondly playing softball and baling hay with Art. He enjoyed bowling, playing sheepshead, spending time with family & friends, talking about life and farming, and tree cutting.

Art will be missed by his sister Anna Lapinski; sisters-in-law Elaine Schneider, Virginia Johnson, and Joanne Schneider; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward & Mary (Ertl) Schneider; brothers: Aloys, Peter, Edmund, Joseph, Norbert, Bernie, & Leo Schneider; and sisters: Mary Burkhardt, Agnes Stini, and Cecilia Wolf.

A heartfelt thank you goes to John (Art's nephew) and Penny Schneider and family. Without their kindness, compassion, and help Art would not have been able to enjoy the life he did for many years. Thank You John & Penny, it didn't go unnoticed.

I remember being at family gatherings at John and Pennys house. Art and Bernie would come and my dad, Pennys grandpa, Damon Dallman would have a lot of fun talking about the old times together. May they all rest in peace and continue the conversations in heaven. My prayers and thoughts to Art and his family. Deb Kasten
