Arthur Mitchell Williams, age 86, of Connecticut, was born in Danbury on June 4, 1939, and entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on December 24, 2025.
He honorably served in the United States Merchant Marines and the United States Army. After his military service, Art built homes throughout Connecticut, taking pride in his craftsmanship.
Art had a love for the ocean and the outdoors, and cherished his beloved dogs. An avid reader and lifelong learner, Art was always eager to grow.
Art will be remembered for his kindness, optimism, and steady presence.
Art is survived by his daughter, Dawn Williams; his loving partner, Nancy Adessio; his siblings, Robert Williams (Marit), Rita (Jay) Rebhan, Kevin Williams (Karin), his sister-in-law, Jan Williams, and cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Williams, and his parents, Arthur Williams, and Edna Drake.
A memorial service celebrating Arthur's life will be held on January 9, at Grace Family Church in Newtown, Connecticut.
