George Esandrio Obituary

George Joseph Esandrio II
"Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother"
George Joseph Esandrio, II, 84, entered the gates of Heaven, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury.
George was born in Bloomfield, New Jersey, on September 9, 1941, a son of the late George Joseph and Marion (Mezzopare) Esandrio, Sr. He was educated in the New Jersey School system and received his associates degree from the Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. George worked for both Pathmark and Stop & Shop supermarkets as a project manager for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, but truly loved spending quality time with his family, especially his five loving grandchildren.
George leaves his four children, Joseph Esandrio of Brookfield, CT, Anthony Esandrio of Torrington, CT, Michael Esandrio and his wife, Angie, of San Diego, CA, and Matthew Esandrio and his wife, Amanda, of Watertown, CT; his five loving grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicholas, Matthew G., Melissa and Lily Grace; his loyal dog, Summer; and a brother, Dennis Esandrio and his wife, Beth.
The family would like to thank Andrew, for his help and compassion that was given to George during these past few years.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Valentine's Roman Catholic Church, followed by the burial in his family plot at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Bloomfield, NJ. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, has been entrusted with assisting the family with George's services.
