Arthur Edward Woods, Jr. “Woody” died on February 1, 2024, at his home
surrounded by his family. He was born on January 24, 1940, in Ogden to Arthur
Edward and Bernice Rhodes Woods. He was raised in Ogden and graduated
Ogden High School.
He honorable served 3 tours in Vietnam in the U. S. Army and was a proud
Vietnam Vet. He received many honors, including a Purple Heart. He retired from
Ameron as a welder while living in California.
Woody was a jack-of-all trade and could build or repair most anything and loved
helping others with their projects. He was a master craftsman making beautiful
pieces from wood.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His phone ring was the bugle of an elk. He
loved to go camping, riding his motorcycle, and hanging out with friends and
family.
Woody was a Christian and a member of Alpine church in Riverdale, he loved his
church family very much.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his children: Art (Patty) Woods, Joe Woods, and Brenda Woods.
8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers
Bill and Gene; and sisters: Kathy, Patty, and Lynette.
Preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Don and sister Margaret.
There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
