Arturo Medel Aveno

Arturo Medel Aveno, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on February 20, 1942, in Infanta, Quezon, Philippines, he was the cherished son of Quiterio Aveno and Juanita Medel.
In 1972, Arturo journeyed to the United States and made Newark, New Jersey his home. Driven by determination and a deep commitment to helping others, he pursued his education and proudly became a registered nurse at St. James Hospital. There, he devoted his career to caring for patients with compassion, skill, and quiet strength.
Arturo married the love of his life, Carmelita Pesons, and together they created a warm and loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering support enriched the lives of all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Quiterio and Juanita Aveno.
Arturo is survived by his beloved wife, Carmelita Aveno; his daughters Maria Mac and her husband Michael, Kathleen Porter and her husband Jamel, Myra Ogacion and her husband Domingo, and Marla Talag and her husband Reginal; and his son, Michael Aveno, and his wife Daisy. He is also survived by two sisters and nine treasured grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Par Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd, Parsippany. Services to follow at 3:00 p.m.
Arturo's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
