Weslaco, Texas - Arturo Cobos Sr., 87, passed away to be with the Lord on January 29, 2024 peacefully at his residence.
Mr. Cobos was born on February 1, 1936 in Mcallen, TX. to Mr. Jose Cobos & Mrs. Margarita Montes Cobos.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother Alfredo Cobos.
Arturo Cobos Sr. is survived by his wife Julia Cobos, his sons Arturo Cobos Jr. and Jose Adalberto Cobos, his daughters; Cecilia (Daniel) Cobos Garcia, Cristina (Luis) Cobos Garza, Criselda (Dale) Cobos Dixon, Janie (George) Cobos Guardiola, Cindy (Ricardo) Cobos Rodriguez and Cebrina (Fred) Cobos Bulnes, 21 grandchildren and 61 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Arturo Cobos Sr. is scheduled for Sunday, February 04, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco- Chapel of the Heavens. A Funeral Mass is scheduled on Monday, February 05,2024 at 10:00 AM at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. As per his wishes, Mr. Arturo Cobos Sr. will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
