Arvel Walters

Arvel Walters, 92, of Rainelle passed away on Tuesday, evening, July 16, 2024 at Rainelle Healthcare Center.
He was born on April 2, 1932; he was the son of the late Kyle Walters and Lula Harris Walters.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Eagle Walters in 1987; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Arvel was a Korean War Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Rupert Missionary Baptist Church. In in his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and sharing his garden's results. He liked to help others and he will be missed by all his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are 2 daughters, Drema (Allen) Myers of Mt. Lookout, Joyce (Zack) Carr of Rainelle; 2 sons, Harold (Drema) Walters of Winfield, WV and Scotti Walters of Rainelle; 4 grandchildren, L.A., Lemuel, Brielle and Abbaney; 14 great grandchildren; extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Rainelle Health Care Center and his special friend, Warren.
Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Ron Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at John W. Rider Memorial Cemetery, Corliss. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral chapel.
