With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ashley Erin Cotton, a resilient beacon of light and love in our lives. Born on April 13, 1980, in Fitchburg, MA, Ashley illuminated the world with her compassionate spirit until her departure on October 29, 2024. Ashley was a loyal mother, sister, daughter, and friend; a spirited woman whose strength and determination were undeniable.
Ashley's legacy is defined by her love for her children, Sandra and Cameron, as well as her friends and family. Ashley was a pillar within her family business, contributing to its growth over the years. Whether cheering at her children’s sporting events, enjoying country music concerts, or relaxing at the beach, Ashley found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
Her passions included watching true crime TV, kickboxing, and horseback riding, reflecting her adventurous character. Ashley’s spirit was infectious, and her laughter was the melody to which many of our fondest memories cling too.
A famous poet once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Ashley embodied this quote; her compassionate heart and spirited nature set her apart and left an imprint on every soul she touched. She was taken too soon but we will cherish all the happy memories we had with her.
Ashley is survived by her children, Sandra Venuti and Cameron Crews; her aunt and uncle, Jill Winter and Stephen Winter; her sisters, Courtney Walker and Casey Berry; and her brother, Zachary Winter. Ashley is preceded in death by her father, Michael Cotton; her paternal grandparents, Catherine and Edward Cotton; and her maternal grandparents, Viola and Luca Luhaink.
Brandon Funeral Home is assisting in services. Calling hours will be Friday, November 8, 2024, from 9:00--11:00 AM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA. A Graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM, at St. Bernard's Cemetery, 96 Goodrich St., Fitchburg, MA.
