Ashley Isabel Dunkirk was born on December 5, 1984, in Moline, Illinois, the beloved daughter of Robert Dunkirk and Sandra (St. Dennis) Dunkirk Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Moline High School and later earned her degree from Brown-Mackey College, Class of 2010. Ashley married Smajo Alagic, and though they later separated, they remained close friends and devoted co-parents.

Ashley dedicated 16 years of her career to Plastic Products Co., where she served as an assistant plant manager. She took great pride in her work and formed many meaningful friendships there, friends who became family, especially Paul Tanghe.

Ashley had a unique spirit and a joyful curiosity about the world. She had a special fondness for frogs, collecting them for her yard and cherishing plush frogs whenever she came across them. In her free time, she loved the thrill of racing and spending evenings at the Cordova and East Moline speedways. She enjoyed playing pool, being surrounded by friends, watching NASCAR, and relaxing through drawing and coloring. Above all else, Ashley was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Tyler, who was the light of her life and her greatest joy.

She is survived by her beloved son, Tyler Alagic of Moline; mother, Sandra St. Dennis Dunkirk Fitzpatrick of Moline; brother, Frank (Tabitha) Fitzpatrick; nieces, Jayda and Olivia Fitzpatrick; in-laws, Saliha and Ibrahm Alagic; her significant other, Josh Purcell of Moline; Josh’s mother & family, Cheryl Welchman; and her faithful canine companion, Mia. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dunkirk.

Ashley will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, her free spirit, and the profound love she had for her family and friends.
