Ashley Heather Mendes, beloved wife, mother and daughter passed away suddenly on July 4, 2024, at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Ashley is survived by her husband Sebastiao, son Sebastiao Jr., mother Carol Hambleton, father Rob Hambleton and his wife Mary, brother Wesley Hambleton, Grandfather Bob Hambleton and his wife Betty along with lots of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Ashley was born on April 25th, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah. While she was just a three-month-old baby, Ashley's family moved to upstate New York where she made lots of friends and had a pretty incredible basketball career. Ashley lived in Japan for five years and had numerous adventures throughout Asia. Ashley's family moved to Austin, Texas in 1999 and then to Southern Oregon in 2002.

A few years after moving to Oregon, Ashley met and fell in love with Sebastiao Mendes. After Sebastiao offered a romantic proposal in the Azores, they were married in 2013. In 2017 their son Sebastiao Jr. was born, and they have been a happy, active family since then.

Ashley was an Artist. As the owner of Pure Life Designs, Ashley put on Paint & Sip events through-out the Rogue Valley. Pure Life Designs also sells candles, cards, jewelry and other beautiful artwork that Ashley designed and created.

Ashley was also an active real estate broker and managed ReFUEL, a juice and food counter at Club Northwest in Grants Pass.

Above all else, Ashley was a bright and loving soul who spread her light wherever she went. She has friends all over the world and its truly heartwarming to hear from so many of those whose lives she touched. To have met and spent any time with Ashley is to have experienced a uniquely positive and beautiful human being.

Ashley's Celebration of Life will be held on July 27th, 1-4pm at the Fruitdale Grange. All are welcome.
