Ashok Dave

In loving memory of Ashok Dave. He passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, on the date of his 50th wedding anniversary, living 77 full years of joy and love. Born in the small village of Vaso India on August 16 1947, he was one of the first babies to be born after Indian independence. Ashok was a bright student whose hard work in his small school earned him college admission in California in 1971. He earned his degree while working multiple jobs to support himself financially. Later, he moved to Toronto where he got married and his older daughter Hetal was born. From Toronto, he moved to Colorado where his second daughter Amee was born. Eventually, his work led him to Massachusetts where he remained through the rest of his life.
For Ashok, his family was his world. He was loving and dedicated in every role he held including that of husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, grand uncle and friend. He was friendly, big-hearted, and loved to joke around and make people laugh. He was always the first to open his home and heart to anyone who needed help, he was a father figure to many. His friends and family will miss his daily phone calls and messages. Of all of the places he traveled, visiting his family in India brought him the most joy.
He will be missed and remembered for all of the laughs, love, and tickles he gave. He will be missed for his bedtime stories and jokes. He will be missed as a partner or opponent in his favorite games of chess and carrom. He leaves behind his wife Avani; daughter Hetal, son-in-law Hemant and their children Alisha and Sahil; daughter Amee and son-in-law Jaimin; and a large extended family and many friends throughout the United States, India, Canada and elsewhere. His memory and legacy will remain with us forever.
