Thomas “Tom” O'Day

Thomas "Tom" George O'Day was born on August 12, 1946 in Watertown, MA and passed at the age of 79, on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in his residence in Hyde Park, MA. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Genevieve and Thomas O'Day and is survived by his younger sister, Diane Johnson, his lifetime companion Susan O'Day, and his two daughters: Carolyn and Kristina O'Day. Tom was a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Photographer with a passionate vision for artistic photography, often finding beauty in perspectives rarely considered. Tom will be remembered as kind and generous with a quiet intensity. Tom's devotion to family showed in grand gestures and special moments orchestrated with care and attention to detail. His big bags of random presents, often filled with quirky relics, sometimes confusing, sometimes perfect, were the highlight of every Christmas. He is missed and loved. The family will be having a private gathering in memory of Tom's life.
