Ashton James Maughan
It is with our deepest regret, that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Ashton James Maughan, 19 years young, on Sunday February 18, 2024. Ashton brightened our lives from the moment he was born on September 24, 2004. Anyone having had the pleasure of loving Ashton knows that this world has lost one of the kindest souls imaginable.
Ashton will be missed everyday by his Grandfather, James C Maughan III, his Grandmother, Rona Maughan, his Mother, Rachel Maughan, his Aunt and Uncle, Lindsey and Sean Dakshaw, his two loving sisters, Addisyn and Ayden Haney, his cousin and little buddy, Mason Dakshaw, as well as many family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, James and Masako Maughan, as well as Great Grandparents, Ronald and Janet Griffith. Always wanting a dog of his own, Ashton adopted a puppy just over a year ago. Their bond was immediate and they were inseparable. Draco was Ashton’s “son”, his “bubbas”, the love of his life. Draco was spoiled endlessly and loved unconditionally. Draco will continue to be loved and cherished by Ashton’s grandparents. As a lifelong resident of Port St Lucie, Florida, Ashton graduated from Treasure Coast High School where he forged lasting friendships. Ashton had many hobbies and interests throughout his 19 years of life. His athleticism had shown through from a very early age. Starting Little League at just 4 years old and playing through his teenage years for his High School baseball team The Treasure Coast Titans. He excelled at anything he put his heart into including triathlons, gaming online with friends, fishing, and as of late working on his car.
