Athanasia Astras Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 6, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Athanasia (Ladis) Astras, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Athanasia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick Astras, who passed away in 1997. She is survived by her loving children: her son George Astras and his wife Kelly, along with their daughters Alexis and Rylee; and her son Peter Astras and his wife Sandi, along with their daughters Eleanor and Daphne.

Athanasia's life was one defined by love for her family, her creative pursuits, and her faith. A woman of warmth and kindness, she found great joy in crafting and always creating something special for those she cared about. Her gentle spirit extended to all creatures, such as her beloved dog Roscoe.

She will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Graveside service will be held October 7, 2025 at 9:00 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee St, Dewitt, NY. Section 84.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
