Atul I. Patel

 Atul I. Patel, age 66, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at his home in Powell, OH, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on May 18, 1958, in Mumbai, India, Atul was the cherished son of the late Ishwarbhai and Durgaben Patel. He completed his high school education in Mumbai before furthering his studies at Eastern Michigan University. Atul dedicated over 15 years of his career to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, where he made a lasting impact.

Atul is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Alka Patel; his two children, Shivani Bhatnagar (Tanuj Bhatnagar) and Adi Patel (Khevna Mody); his younger brother, Piyush Patel (Liza Patel); and his beloved niece, Raina Patel.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hashmukhbhai Patel for his care, compassion, and friendship over the years. They also wish to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Hospice for their exceptional support and kindness.
