Aubrey Dale Eldridge, 75, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with his family by his side.
Aubrey grew up in Benton County, Mississippi; he was the 18th of 19 children born to Allie and Ernest Eldridge. Aubrey was an industrial insulator and project supervisor for over 40 years. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason of the Scottish Rite. Family was of the greatest importance to Aubrey, and he cherished time spent with all family members. He was known as “A Jack of all trades and Master of most”; always willing to help friends and family. A history buff, Aubrey enjoyed exploring historic locations; these car trips involved taking the back roads to really appreciate the scenery. He will be remembered for his hard work and unwavering dedication to his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, David Eldridge, Sr and wife, Vanessa, of Sulphur; daughter, Tisha Eldridge Cuirea of New Orleans; grandchildren, Ryan Ecker, Dylan Ecker, Kaleb Guillory (Chasity), Kevin Perron, Austin Perron, Shelby Guillory, and David Eldridge, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Rhyatt, RaeLynn, Selene and Morgan. He also survived by three siblings, Dessa, Harris and Carl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Doris Davidson Eldridge; and fifteen siblings.
A Memorial Service celebrating Aubrey’s life will be held at 1PM, Monday, December 2, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home in Sulphur with a gathering of friends and family from 12Pm – 1PM.
