Aubrey Roach Obituary
Aubrey was born on May 25, 1930, in Greene County, Virginia, to the late William Smith Roach and Nellie Mary Roach. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Alex Roach. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Morris Roach of 47 wonderful years; two sons, Aubrey Kelly Roach and wife, Gloria, and Onnie Thomas Roach, both of Dyke; one grandson, Trevor Kelly Roach, the joy of Aubrey's life; a dear sister, Phillis Shifflett and husband, Amos, of Stanardsville; and also a very special friend who was at Aubrey side all the time, Scott Draper. He is also survived by six brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law who loved him dearly; and one step granddaughter, Victoria and her husband, Chris Moore. Aubrey served in the United States Army for three years and worked for VDOT for forty-five years. He was avid fox and bear hunter. The family would like to thank those who gave there love and support in this time of need, three sisters-in-law, Laverne, Patricia and Pamela, who stayed and supported the family. Onnie and Kelly would like to thank their Mom for the care she gave to their dad, and a special thanks to RNA Lee Klempter and Dr. Mark Neihaus for the care they gave Aubrey.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at Binghams United Methodist Church with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Dyke. The Reverend Buster Payne will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.
