Audra Lynn (Seymour) Martin, 58, of Dubuque, Iowa, and formerly of Zwingle/Otter Creek, and Welton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Hawkeye Care Center in Dubuque.
Audra Lynn Seymour was born on November 18, 1966, in Rock Island, Illinois to James Elliot and Mary Diane (Dugan) Seymour. She grew up in Welton and was a 1985 graduate of Central DeWitt Community School District. She married Tom Martin. They later divorced. She later met Harry Shady of Otter Creek/Zwingle and they spent over 15 years together.
Audra had worked various jobs throughout the years including working at Flexsteel, fitting and showing world champion Top Quarter Horses for breeders, and working for Denny Seargent Saddlery and Western wear.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Mary Seymour of Delmar, IA; and special friends, Michelle Rausenberger, and Lisa McGarry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father James Seymour, and infant twin siblings.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. Joseph's Cemetery in DeWitt, Iowa. There is no visitation. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
