Audrey will also be missed by her ten grandchildren, William Blunt Jr. and his wife Katelyn of Whitinsville, MA; Christina Blunt and her husband Alexander Holdridge of Jericho, VT; Justin Brink, Ryan Brink and his wife Abigail, and Aaron Brink, all of Grand Rapids, MI; Paige Pollock and her husband Brody of Rimersburg, PA; Kelsey Wolf of Philadelphia, PA; Madison Maynard and her husband Alan Abbott of Chicago, IL; Meredith Maynard, of Fort Worth, TX; and Blake Maynard of Round Rock, TX. Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, J. Bruce Arrington who passed in 2013, her parents Joseph and Lilian Middleton of Dagenham, Essex, England, and her sister Brenda Jackson of England.

Audrey was born in Bethnal Green, London and grew up in Dagenham, Essex, England. She began her career at Prudential Insurance Co. in London. She married her first husband, William Blunt (desc.) in 1955 and emigrated to the United States. She settled in Worcester, MA and enjoyed a successful career at Paul Revere Insurance Co. She was in upper management in the Underwriting Dept. when she retired in 1990. Audrey’s strong will and sense of herself gave her the confidence to build a life and a family in a new country and drove her to professional success.

Audrey married Bruce Arrington in 1979 and moved to a home on Ramshorn Pond in Millbury, MA where they spent many happy years hosting and entertaining family and friends, both of which were very important to them. Audrey and Bruce enjoyed playing tennis, downhill skiing, and traveling together. Audrey was also an accomplished gardener and knitter, an animal lover, and a fixture at the Auburn Racquetball Club (later Crunch Fitness) for more than 40 years where she rarely missed an early morning workout. Audrey and Bruce moved to Brierly Circle in 2013, where she spent her final quiet years, reading and bird watching in the company of her cat, Mimsy.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Audrey’s life by gathering for her Funeral Mass on Saturday, Feb. 14th at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be held in West Millbury Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
