Audrey Elaine Fuelling

Audrey Elaine Fuelling, 92, of Elk River, Minnesota passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025.
Born on April 9, 1933, in Perham, Minnesota, Audrey was the daughter of Ray (Reinhold) and Olga Tesch. She was the third of their four children.
Audrey was an outstanding student, graduating at the top of her class. She pursued a bachelor's degree, graduating from Valparaiso University in 1955. Following a return to Minnesota after college, she taught Junior High School Social Studies and then became a student teaching advisor for St. Could State University.
Audrey married Eric Rothmaler, whom she met in college, and raised two daughters together. The family initially lived in Arden Hills, Minnesota, and then moved to Saratoga, California in 1969 for 4 years before returning to Minnesota, settling in North Oaks. Audrey enjoyed many passions including reading, crafting, cabin time, and participating in activities with her girls and church. Once her daughters were in junior high, Audrey returned to work as the Director of Christian Education at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Shoreview, Minnesota. Later, Audrey married Daniel Fuelling, and together they enjoyed a life in the Minnesota communities of New Ulm, Alexandria, Chanhassen and ultimately, Elk River.
Audrey will be remembered for her commitment to her faith, being a prayer partner, her compassion for and kindness to others, sharing her love of literature, her deep wisdom, and her love of Minnesota sports.
She is survived by her two daughters Krista Rothmaler and Karlyn Mattson, as well as four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both husbands, parents, siblings, and many relatives and friends.
