Roy Alan Fuelling, 60, of Oswego, IL passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Roy was born in Aurora, IL on May 4, 1965 to Delbert and Edna Fuelling.

Though life met him with an early challenge, he met it with courage, faith and joy that left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. At a young age, in 1980, Roy was involved in a life changing accident, one that could have dimmed the spirit of many, but not him. Instead, he chose to live each day with a smile that lifted others and a strength that inspired many. He never had a bad word to say about anybody and never complained. He touched so many lives with his quiet wisdom and unwavering spirit, especially his nephews for whom he was a role model and a source of lasting influence.

Music was one of Roy's great loves and it brought him so much comfort and joy through the years. He was an avid sports fan and loved them all but especially football, baseball and basketball was his greatest passion.

Roy's journey, marked by courage and perseverance brought his family closer and brought out the best in each of his siblings. He will be deeply missed but there is peace in knowing he is reunited with his parents.

He is survived by his siblings; Delbert Jr. "Luke" (Holly) Fuelling, Fred (Sherry) Fuelliing, Robert Fuelling, and Debra (Randy) Scott; nieces and nephews; Jakob, Logan, Fred Jr. (Kim) and Alex Fuelling, Tiffany (Noel "Angel") Rivera and April (Andy) Tester. Great uncle of Morgan and Benjamin Fuelling, and Jazalynn and Noel Rivera, Jr.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Sr. and Edna Fuelling; niece Brittney Fuelling great niece, Laura Ann Fuelling; grandparents, Louis and Bernice Fuelling and Herbert Sr. and Elva Edwards.

All services will be private, and a Christian Burial will take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
