Audrey Hale Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home - Springfield on Dec. 24, 2025.
Audrey LaVon Hale (née Trickett), 74, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on November 13, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and simple joys.
Audrey was the beloved daughter of Francis Xavier Trickett and Evelyn (Hall). She grew up in Ogden and attended school there, laying the foundation for a life rooted in kindness and service. Audrey later built a career with JCPenney as a customer service and sales associate, where she brought warmth and care to every interaction until her retirement.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Audrey was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life and a source of strength to those around her.
Audrey shared many cherished years with her late husband, Richard Lee Hale. Their bond was one of enduring love and companionship. She will be laid to rest with him at Missouri Veterans Cemetery-a testament to their lasting union.
She leaves behind four children who were the pride of her life: Aimee (Michael) Waltz, Brad (Amber) Hale, Marly Leaverton, and Michael (Amber Dawn) Hale. Audrey's legacy continues through her grandchildren-Dylan, Landon, Dakota, Conner, Riely, Chloe, and Kierra-each of whom brought joy to her heart. She is also survived by her brother, Verl Trickett.
Audrey found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family-whether camping under the stars or enjoying quiet moments at home. Her dog Daisy was a constant companion who brought her comfort and laughter. Audrey had a fondness for coloring that reflected her gentle spirit and creativity. She also delighted in classic comforts like burgers and baked potatoes-favorites that often accompanied family gatherings filled with laughter and love.
A sweet mother, grandmother, wife, and friend to many, Audrey's presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 West Walnut Lawn Street, Springfield, Missouri. A visitation will be held beforehand from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Committal service will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri.
