Audrey Ann Jacinth

Jacinth, Audrey Ann (nee Freitas) Age 90, passed away at home peacefully on May 26, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. A celebration of life will be held on June 21, 2025 at 3pm at Heritage Funeral Home Ballantyne Chapel.Audrey was born on April 17, 1935 in Honolulu, HI to Rosaline (Almeida) and Enos Freitas. She was the oldest of 4 children. Audrey worked as an RN for 35 years putting her nursing skills to work at various Long Island hospitals throughout her long career including Lakeside, Southside and Brunswick Hospitals. She was the ultimate kindest, warm, caring person always putting others needs before her own. She was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Assumption Church where she also volunteered her time to helping at OLA Outreach program and Rosary Alter Society among others. Audreys life was a testament to her strong faith in God, family and moral values.Audrey is survived by her loving husband, Alfred of 64 years; 4 children, James (Linda), Veronica, Valerie (John) and Judy (Dennis); 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leonard and Richard "Dick" (Kathy). She is predeceased by her parents, and sister Lois Tutrone. Up until the end of her life Audrey maintained her grace, compassion and dignity. She will be extremely missed by all those who knew, cared and loved her. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimers Foundation or VIA Hospice.
