Audrey K. Monnette, 68, of Marinette passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. She was born February 5, 1956 in Marinette to the late Joe and Helen (Schwittay) Veriha and graduated from Marinette High School in 1974. On October 7, 1978 Audrey married Richard Monnette at the First United Methodist Church in Marinette. She had worked at Scott Paper, MJR Industries and the Marinette Sheriff's Department, but her favorite job was selling Avon. Audrey enjoyed playing various games and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dick, two sons Derek (Elizabeth) of Peshtigo and Andrew (Amber) of Porterfield; a sister Kathy (Dan) Reiswitz of Menominee; four grandchildren: Kyle, Alyson, Rylee and Serenity; two step grandchildren Cody and Jazmin; eight brothers-in-law; eleven sisters-in-law; as well as over 100 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister Carol Veriha; eight brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; two nephews; and one great niece.
Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Marinette on Saturday February 24th from 10am to Noon. Funeral Services will be held at noon with Pastor Nate Reed officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz. In lieu of flower, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Audrey's name. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
