Audrey Alice Myer

Audrey Alice Myer, age 91, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Born on October 16, 1934, in Caneadea, New York, Audrey was the daughter of Kenneth and Iva Currier. Her life journey took her across the country and through many meaningful chapters. In 1961, she moved to California where she worked as a bookkeeper. Her dedication and work ethic were evident throughout her career.

In 1973, Audrey relocated to Decker Montana, where she became the postmaster and operated the Decker Store until her retirement in 1997. Her presence at the heart of the community made her a familiar and trusted figure to many.

A pivotal moment in Audrey's life came in 1978 when she met Garrett Myer-the love of her life. Their bond grew over the years, and they were married in 1997. Together they shared a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent their time camping, hunting, paddlefishing, and warmly welcoming hunters and fishermen into their lives.

Audrey cherished time with family and friends above all else. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Lynda (Bryan) Ristau of Florida; Patrick McCarthy of Florida; Jim (Julie) Myer of Wisconsin; and Banner (Heather) Myer of Wisconsin. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jason McCarthy of Nevada; Tyson Chase of Wyoming; Danyelle Garey of Florida; Tia (Joey) Ebony of Washington; Cory McCarthy of Washington; Cody (Lisa) Myer; Ricci (Todd) Laschinger; and Morgon (Anthony) Siewert of Wisconsin. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren who brought joy to her later years.

Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband Garrett Myer, her son Thomas Allen, and grandson Michael Chase.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering to spread Audrey's ashes will be held at a later date.
