Audrey was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a certified CNA and continued her healthcare services when she moved to Ocala. Audrey retired from Monroe Regional Medical Center (MRMC) and enjoyed the rest of her retirement as a wife, mom, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband John Townsend, Ocala, Florida; sons John Townsend, Ocala, Florida, Kevin Townsend, Summerfield, Florida, brother Elzie Sanders, Starke, Florida, sisters Jackie Thompson, O'Brien, Florida, Johnette Orr, Charlotte, North Carolina and grandchildren Christian, Savannah, Jesse and Zachary.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 pm followed by lunch at John's house.

I am heartbroken to hear about Ms. Audrey. She was a sweet woman that truly loved her family. Prays for Mr. John and the kids.
