Ann, a woman whose heart was as warm as the Florida sun she called home. A true flower child at heart. She carried that kind, free spirited essence throughout her life. Born and raised in Tampa Bay she never lost her love of the salt air and sea. She was a Paralegal for 30+ years and chose to retire here in eastern Ky to have her family near. She is survived by her Son: Tim (Chasity) Welch of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Daughter: Crystal Welch (Eric) Wittmann of Louisville, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Cory, Travis, Nicolas, Tiffany, Kyle, Heather, Jada & Khenan; Great Grandchildren: Aiden, Elija, Rilynn & Gavin; Brother: Robert Simpson of Largo, Florida; Nieces: Heather, Robin, Hannah & Caitlin; Dogs: Zippy & Zoey; Special Lifelong Friend: Sharon; A Host of Family & Friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Hamilton McLeod Simpson.
Please join us for a celebration of her life at The Nelson Frazier Funeral home in Prestonsburg, Ky. With visitation starting at 5pm with service following at 7pm.
Her cremains will be returned to the seashore, the place that brought her much peace and she'll live in our hearts until we once again meet.
