Mrs. Audrey Faye Zangas, 81, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Originally from Century, Florida, she lived in Virginia for a number of years and had made Flomaton, Alabama her home for the last forty-two years. Her life was filled with love and warmth, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She had a heart full of joy and passions that made her life special. Flowers brightened her days, and she loved to immerse herself in the adventures of westerns during cozy evenings. Alabama Football was her favorite pastime, bringing excitement and spirited cheers. Traveling to the mountains filled her with peace and wonder, where she cherished moments with her family and friends. Known for her delicious cooking, she could whip up meals that brought everyone together. She also found happiness in reading, often getting lost in the stories. Her dog Terry, was her loyal companion, always by her side, sharing in her love for life. She greatly missed her other two dogs, Penny and Mollie.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dewey Stuckey and mother Elaine Chandler Barnes; two sisters, Coleen Dubose and Mary Brennan; brother Joe Stuckey.
Mrs. Faye is survived her husband of forty-two years, Larry Zangas of Flomaton, Alabama; two sons, Scott Wingfield of Stuart, Virginia and Phillip Zangas of Little Rock, Alabama; two daughters, April Dunsford of Flomaton, Alabama and Christy (Steve) Spencer of Martinsville, Virgina; eight, grandchildren, Brandon Spencer, Sam Lambeth, Heather Sizemore, Stephen Spencer, Gordon Scott Wingfield, Tiffany Spencer, Hunter Wingfield, and Brodie Zangas; numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC with Reverend Eddie Starks officiating.
Visitation will be held at 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC.
Burial will follow at Little Rock Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Spencer, Stephen Spencer, Jake Godwin, Cory Johnson, Phillip Zangas, and Brian Starks.
